Dynamo Brushless Motor & Controller

The Dynamo is a 12VDC brushless motor and integrated controller manufactured by Nidec Motor Corporation. This low powered motor with integrated controller is a new alternative to the brushed motors used within the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). The Dynamo is an excellent way for FRC teams to learn about brushless motor technology as they power turrets, small lifts or arms, and conveyor systems. Nidec has manufactured this motor to have an 8mm output shaft allowing it to be used with familiar CIM hardware.



This motor's controller is integrated into the back of the motor, so data is fed directly from the roboRIO.



Note: Teams will need the 2018 FIRST Robotics Competition software, which was released on January of 2018.
